Automotive Durability Road Test Operator

Step into the driver’s seat of innovation. As an Automotive Durability Road Test Operator, you’ll spend your day evaluating pre-production and production vehicles on public roads, capturing every nuance of how they perform in the real world.

A day in the life

You begin with a safety check and route briefing, then take custody of a technically advanced vehicle. Over the next 8–10 hours, you navigate designated routes, operate with absolute caution, and observe how systems behave under a variety of conditions—including inclement weather and when maneuvering oversized models. Between drives and at shift end, you record clear, concise evaluations that help teams improve powertrain performance, build quality, system functionality, and overall design.
