You confirm the setup against work instructions and the Measurement Instruction Sheet, record results in ERP, and watch live machine data to keep cycle times honest. When a new product introduction arrives, you dig into the CNC program, optimize tooling and G-code, and remove variation. Between runs, you deburr, finish, and inspect, then pass sharp feedback to programmers and update setup records through change control. You lend a hand to teammates, share know-how, and keep the line moving so customers receive parts on time and to spec.

Core Responsibilities
- Set up Swiss-type CNC lathes, execute changeovers, and debug CNC programs; make machine adjustments and tool changes as needed.
- Operate and maintain CNC Swiss-style machines, finishing equipment, hand tools, and fixtures; perform burr removal and part finishing.
- Interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions to verify conformance.
- Use precision metrology including calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators.
- Leverage ERP and machine monitoring systems to manage work orders, track production, and record quality checks electronically.
- Provide detailed feedback to CNC programmers; keep setup documentation current in accordance with change control procedures.
- Guide team members in assigned areas to maximize utilization and production attainment of CNC equipment.
- Support training of colleagues within your area of responsibility.
- Champion continuous improvement to enhance quality and delivery performance.
- Execute the production plan to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience running Swiss-style lathes in manufacturing.
- Background with Citizen, Tsugami, or comparable Swiss platforms preferred.
- Deep knowledge of machinery, tooling, measuring, and gauging relevant to Swiss turning, plus a strong grasp of production processes.
- Mastery of machine setups, blueprint interpretation, routers, and setup files.
- Ability to understand part requirements to ensure both functional performance and cosmetic quality.
- Working knowledge of basic CNC programming.
- Clear, confident verbal communication across production, management, and technical teams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and goals.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
