A GC calls about a conflict between a ceiling elevation and ductwork. You’ve already seen it in the shop drawings, coordinated with MEP, and resequenced tasks to keep the schedule intact. Your crews are hanging board on newly framed partitions while another team sets specialty ceiling grid. You log photos, close a punch item, and brief the PM on materials arriving tomorrow. Your Mission

• Be the on-site leader who plans daily work, drives production, and protects quality.
• Model and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with PEC policies and OSHA standards.
• Install and oversee:
  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall systems, including finishing
  • Acoustical ceilings (ACT and specialty)
  • FRP panels
  • Finish carpentry as needed
  • Specialty ceiling systems
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specs, and project schedules to sequence work efficiently.
• Coordinate with other trades to resolve conflicts and maximize productivity.
• Keep the jobsite orderly and professional.

How You’ll Execute

Lead & Develop

• Supervise crews and subcontractors; set clear expectations and hold teams accountable.
• Train and mentor craftworkers to elevate performance and craftsmanship.
• Partner with project management to align manpower and equipment with milestones.

Safety & Quality

• Run daily toolbox talks; correct unsafe acts/conditions immediately.
• Ensure proper PPE and safe use of lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and powder-actuated tools.
• Inspect work daily; remove deficiencies quickly and protect finished work.

Communicate & Document

• Produce accurate daily reports on time.
• Maintain written/photo records of progress, safety observations, delays, weather, and site issues.
• Flag schedule threats, material gaps, change orders, and field conflicts to the PM promptly.
• Foster positive relationships with customers, GCs, inspectors, suppliers, and colleagues.

Materials & Tools

• Coordinate deliveries; verify counts and condition.
• Store and protect materials correctly.
• Keep company tools and equipment in safe working order.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of commercial experience in metal stud framing and drywall.
• 3+ years as a foreman leading commercial crews.
• In-depth understanding of:
  • Metal stud framing
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • FRP installation
  • Commercial construction practices
• Ability to read/interpret plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Resourceful problem-solver with strong judgment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Procore, PDF Expert, or similar software (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel as project demands dictate.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for extended durations.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and stilts.
• Safely operate powder-actuated tools, lasers, and related equipment.
• Perform indoor/outdoor work in changing weather conditions.

Preferred Extras

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Forklift, Scissor Lift, or Boom Lift certifications
• Hands-on specialty ceiling systems experience
• Experience overseeing multiple crews on large commercial sites
