Multi‑Axis CNC Programmer–Operator (Production)
Is this you?
- Do you thrive holding tolerances to 0.0002 in and dialing in offsets until the CMM sings?
- Can you read complex blueprints, convert units in your head, and spot a tooling wear issue at a glance?
- Are you equally comfortable loading a program, editing a line, and proving out a first article?
The work you’ll own
- Turn engineering drawings, sketches, and job instructions into precise setups and repeatable production on mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines.
- Load, retrieve, and modify CNC control data; run parts, monitor for deviations, and correct out-of-tolerance conditions on the fly.
- Measure every critical feature using micrometers, calipers, height/bore/depth gages, and hand metrology best practices; rework parts when necessary.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production teammates to solve machining challenges and improve throughput.
- Adhere to ISO procedures and safety standards, including PPE use and hoist inspections.
- Keep the flow moving: route parts to the next operation, update locations in the system, and maintain work order covers, daily production sheets, status sheets, and quality records.
- Champion 5S and continuous improvement, including cell layout and process enhancements.
- Participate in regular team communications, monthly department meetings, and quarterly town halls.
