You start your morning from our St. Louis, MO hub (63129), gear up the service truck, and head to your first call. A generator won’t hold RPM—within minutes you’ve run diagnostics, sourced the right parts, and restored performance. By midday, you’re across town completing preventative maintenance on a fleet truck. You wrap up with clear notes, a quick rundown for the customer, and a safe drive back—ready for tomorrow’s challenges.

What you’ll tackle

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related equipment in the field.
  • Travel to customer locations to handle scheduled and urgent service calls.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Document work performed and parts used with accuracy and clarity.
  • Discuss service needs, findings, and recommendations directly with clients.
  • Keep current with evolving diesel technologies and industry best practices.
  • Uphold safety standards and follow company policies on every job.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal diesel technical training preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, systems, and components.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple job sites as needed.

Based in St. Louis, MO (63129), you’ll operate on the go—servicing customer equipment at their locations across the area.
