Position Overview
The Paralegal/Legal Investigator will support attorneys handling complex plaintiff litigation. This role involves both in‑office paralegal work and travel for client meetings, interviews, and investigative tasks. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients during sensitive moments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews and gather case‑critical information
- Travel to meet clients, witnesses, and families as needed
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and case summaries
- Assist with medical record collection, review, and organization
- Support attorneys with case development and trial preparation
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation
- Perform investigative tasks, including background research and fact development
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Investigator (plaintiff experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel regularly within the region
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with clients in emotionally sensitive situations
- Proficiency with legal software and case management tools
