Build safer drives—one windshield at a time

Step onto the production floor and into a lab where precision rules. As our Automotive Glass Quality Lab Technician, you’ll start by collecting windshield samples from active lines, carefully cutting and prepping them, and then moving through a suite of tests that verify strength, clarity, and durability. Your day blends hands-on testing with thoughtful analysis—making sure every pane that leaves our facility earns your approval.

What your day looks like

• Gather and section windshield samples to create test coupons.
• Set up and execute testing: body glass fragmentation; distortion; moisture; pummel; light transmission; boil; ball drop; opacity; and robustness (as needed).
• Check the water softener system for each windshield line to maintain test integrity.
• Run follow-up testing on any non-compliant product and document corrective outcomes.
• Perform additional validations for European and Asian market requirements.

What you bring

• 1+ year of lab-based testing experience (glass industry background preferred, not required).
• Working knowledge of ANSI standards and familiarity with European and Asian market standards.
• Comfort reading and executing detailed test specifications; understanding of tempered glass and windshield standards.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills for data logging and reporting.
• Ability to work independently, keep meticulous logs, summarize trends, and produce reports for internal/external audiences.

Schedule & expectations

• Alternative work schedules including 12-hour shifts.
• Occasional overtime beyond 40 hours per week, including some weekends and holidays, as workload dictates.

Compensation & rewards

• Pay up to $21.15/hour.
• Sign on Bonus - $1500.
• Shift commitment bonus $2 per hour (40 - perfect attendance).
• Opportunity to earn quarterly incentive bonus up to $750.
