B2B Order Support Specialist — Trailer Components

Dexter designs and supplies industry-leading axles, suspension systems, brakes, doors, vents, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components to customers across the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets. We’re growing our distribution team in Caldwell, ID and seeking a B2B Order Support Specialist who thrives on helping customers get exactly what they need—on time, every time.

A day in this role

You start by checking overnight inquiries, confirming pricing and availability, then jump on calls with local customers dropping by the counter and B2B partners phoning in. You enter accurate orders, recommend complementary items, and offer quick technical guidance. Midday, you reach out to truck-run customers to capture orders for upcoming routes, verify delivery dates on backorders, and track shipments. When a warranty or return pops up, you document it thoroughly and coordinate next steps. You wrap up by updating system data and following through on any service issues that need management input.

What you’ll handle

  • Answer questions in person and by phone; provide up-to-date product, pricing, and shipping details.
  • Maintain accurate system information, including availability and pricing.
  • Enter customer orders with precision; suggest add-on products and offer light technical assistance.
  • Proactively call truck-run customers to secure timely orders.
  • Same-day follow-ups on backorders and expected delivery dates.
  • Engage in company sales initiatives—reconnect with lapsed accounts and identify new opportunities (upselling).
  • Investigate and resolve service issues; escalate with management when needed.
  • Process warranty/return requests with proper forms and documentation.
  • Track shipments and keep customers informed.
  • Pitch in on additional tasks as assigned.

What you bring

  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year in a customer-facing role; B2B experience a plus.
  • Confident with computers and phones.
  • Customer-first mindset and the ability to learn product specs to recommend the right solution.
  • Sales or parts counter experience is helpful.
