What you’ll do
- Own design‑basis LOCA safety analyses for BWR facilities.
- Convert plant drawings/specifications into robust analytical models.
- Interrogate two‑phase flow and heat‑transfer correlations to ensure appropriate application.
- Translate results into concise, technically sound documentation.
- Act as the go‑to contact for plant‑specific LOCA questions across internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain cognizance of each unit’s licensing basis.
- Assess how design or operating changes influence design analyses.
Team, location, and reporting
You’ll report to the Manager, BWR Safety & Analysis. Work remotely within the U.S. or in a hybrid arrangement at our Cranberry Township, PA location.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
- Minimum 4 years focused on safety analysis.
Proficiency: Engineering Degree.
Salary and benefits
Base salary range: $85,200–$106,500 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
