Core functions
- Prepare patients and assist with examinations and in-office procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs; administer injections; collect and process specimens according to guidelines.
- Set up, clean, and restock exam rooms to maintain readiness and safety.
- Document thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR); manage patient charts and ensure accuracy.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily throughput to reduce wait times.
- Provide clear instructions and education to support understanding of care plans.
- Perform administrative duties including billing workflows and insurance verification.
- Maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Qualifications & competencies
- Certified Medical Assistant credentials (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare coursework preferred.
- Professional, empathetic communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced clinic environment.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology; confident using EHR platforms.
- Flexible availability, including potential evenings or weekends.
