Tool and Die Technician

Aegis Worldwide is partnering with a leading manufacturing client seeking an experienced Tool & Die Journeyman to join their team. This position is responsible for building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining dies and industrial manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with progressive and single-hit dies, and the ability to maintain critical production equipment to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain:- Single hit dies

  • Draw dies
  • Multiple-stage progressive dies
  • Sensors and controls
  • Shaker pans and slug removal systems

• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

• Maintain and repair presses and material feeding equipment

• Operate and maintain shop equipment including:- Mills

  • Lathes
  • Boring mills
  • Blanchard grinders
  • Surface grinders
  • Drill presses
  • Radial arm drills

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and tooling specifications

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling and equipment performance

• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in Tool & Die or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of stamping dies, presses, and industrial manufacturing equipment
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
