Heavy Equipment Diagnostics Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM · Overtime after 40 hours · On-call rotation with additional pay Location: [City, State]

You’ll be the go-to expert diagnosing and restoring complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across heavy equipment and aerial lifts. Our in-house T3 technology flags issues early and arms you with data, so you spend more time turning wrenches and less time guessing.

What you’ll experience each day

  • Independently troubleshoot and repair rental and customer machines across diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical domains
  • [Field only: Travel to customer job sites; maintain your service vehicle in professional condition]
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics; leverage diagnostic software to pinpoint faults fast
  • Capture all work in T3 on a laptop/tablet with accurate notes and parts used
  • Pitch in with equipment and parts pick-up/delivery as needed
  • Coach and support junior technicians to raise the bar for the whole team

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on background with heavy equipment, aerial platforms, or diesel systems
  • Personal tool set appropriate to the trade
  • Ability to read/interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; must be 21+ to operate company vehicles

Bonus credentials

  • Trade school completion or OEM certifications
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards
  • Experience servicing multiple equipment brands
