Love solving problems, staying organized, and being the calm voice customers rely on? This role puts you at the center of order flow, from intake and scheduling to invoicing and issue resolution.
Role highlights
- Be the first response for inquiries on work orders, shipments, and inventory counts.
- Bridge communication between customers and the warehouse for account updates, and with the office for invoicing and credit changes.
- Confirm accuracy of computer-generated invoices prior to billing.
- Own the administrative backbone: order documentation, file management, phone coverage, visitor greetings, and operation of office equipment and computers.
- Plan and schedule loads as needed; partner with operations to align timing.
- Maintain current reporting so all loads are tracked, emptied, and closed.
- Tackle refusals and OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages) to resolution.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel; comfortable on desktop computers.
Physical and work style requirements
- Extended sitting with frequent interruptions; routine standing, reaching, and bending.
- Manual dexterity for computer/office tasks; strong use of talking, hearing, and vision throughout the day.
- Business travel by car and plane may be required.
- Occasional exposure to facility environments at or below freezing.
- Lift, carry, position, or move items up to 20 pounds on occasion; carry travel-related loads.
- Use multiple electronic tools and systems to complete work.
- Partner well with colleagues, exhibiting professionalism and balance.
- Capable of reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, and presenting; receptive to constructive feedback from executive leadership.
