Some of the most useful engineering starts with a conversation: what does the customer need, what’s getting in the way, and how can the system work better? As a Senior Software Integration Engineer at Caddis Solutions, you’ll be the primary customer-facing operations contact while staying close to the Linux systems, automation, and data services behind those conversations.
How you’ll contribute
- Bring clarity to customer requests. Triage incoming needs, gather technical requirements, and coordinate the next steps. Provide standby support for ad-hoc critical requests, balancing routine operations with urgent needs.
- Make services reliable. Administer Linux systems, integrate software, manage services and configurations, and support consistent provisioning.
- Automate the everyday work. Use the Linux command line and Shell or Python scripts to simplify operations and troubleshoot problems.
- Keep data processing moving. Support stream or batch Big Data processing with frameworks such as Apache Spark.
- Make releases repeatable. Use GitLab CI and CI/CD practices, apply Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, package services with Docker, and orchestrate them in Kubernetes.
- Understand what’s happening. Monitor performance and investigate issues with Prometheus or Grafana, and collaborate through Git version control.
Bring strong Linux administration skills, hands-on experience with the data processing and engineering tools above, and a clear, practical communication style. You’ll have opportunities to connect technical problem-solving directly with the people who benefit from it.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation is a plus.
