Role overview

  • Founding Go-to-Market (GTM) lead responsible for designing, launching, and scaling repeatable customer acquisition and growth engines for Seed–Series B startups.
  • Hands-on operator role: you will run experiments and own GTM execution across outbound, content, partnerships, lifecycle, and product-led channels.
  • Compensation: $130,000–$220,000+ base depending on experience, plus variable pay and meaningful equity at pre-seed through Series B companies.

Who we are looking for

  • GTM operators with 3–8 years of experience, typically with early-stage startup backgrounds and demonstrated traction.
  • Builders who can create GTM motions from scratch, not just follow playbooks.
  • Strong written communicators: emails, narratives, and content that open doors and move technical buyers to action.
  • Product-minded and data-driven: comfortable with user research, analytics, and partnering closely with engineering and product.
  • Execution-focused: you ship weekly experiments, iterate quickly, and optimize based on clear metrics.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and operate targeted outbound engines: persona definition, sequencing, automation, and personalization.
  • Create content and thought leadership that engages technical audiences (blog posts, email programs, docs, and product narratives).
  • Build partnership and community programs (VCs, accelerators, operator networks, channel partners) to accelerate acquisition and credibility.
  • Own lifecycle and retention programs that convert initial users into advocates and referral sources.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to embed GTM into the product experience (onboarding, in-app prompts, PQLs).
  • Define measurable KPIs, run experiments, analyze results, and prioritize work based on impact.
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale GTM contributors as the business grows.

Minimum qualifications

  • 3–8 years in GTM, growth, or marketing roles with demonstrable ownership of demand generation, content, partnerships, or lifecycle programs at startups.
  • Proven track record of building motions from zero to scale with quantifiable outcomes (pipeline, conversion, retention, ARR growth, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to craft outreach, proposals, and technical content.
  • Comfort using analytics and product data to define hypotheses and iterate quickly (experience with SQL or analytics tools preferred).
  • Experience working closely with founders, product, and engineering in high-ambiguity, fast-moving environments.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience selling into technical buyers or running founder-led sales.
  • Background building content engines, communities, or partner programs from scratch.
  • Familiarity with GTM for AI-native products or integrating AI/LLM messaging into onboarding and demand generation.
  • Experience scaling GTM teams at Seed–Series B startups and hiring junior GTM roles.

  • Improved conversion and retention across onboarding and lifecycle stages.
  • Repeatable, documented GTM playbooks that the team can execute and scale.
  • Quality and reach of content, partnerships, and community engagement with target technical audiences.

Interview process

  • Screen to assess communication style and relevant experience.
  • Strategy deep-dive to review a GTM motion you led or to design one for the business.
  • Working session to demonstrate practical skills (writing outreach, drafting a plan, or pitching a narrative).
