Primavera P6 Master Scheduler — Capital Projects Portfolio

Shape the schedule. Steer the outcome.

Based in Denver, CO, you will serve as the scheduling subject-matter expert for a portfolio of capital projects (budgets up to $15M). As the go-to Primavera P6 authority, you’ll translate scope into logic-driven, resource-aware timelines and keep every milestone on track.

A day in this role

You kick off the morning with a review of overnight inputs from Project Managers and partners. A scope adjustment from yesterday’s coordination meeting? You weave it into P6, validating logic ties and dates. You brief stakeholders on downstream impacts and risks, then jump into QA/QC—reconciling reports, resolving discrepancies, and confirming alignment with capital approval gates. By afternoon, you’re fielding schedule questions as the SME, ensuring every update reflects current scope, deliverables, and project strategy across the portfolio.

What you’ll do

• Build, maintain, and optimize detailed Primavera P6 schedules for multiple capital projects
• Own portfolio schedule health—accuracy, currency, and alignment with scope, deliverables, and milestones
• Incorporate approved updates, scope changes, and timeline shifts discussed in team meetings
• Communicate schedule impacts, risks, and change clearly to Project Managers and cross‑functional partners
• Serve as the scheduling SME and respond to schedule-related inquiries
• Review QA/QC scheduling reports, investigate variances, and correct issues
• Ensure schedules meet capital approval process requirements and track to key milestones

• 5+ years of hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience
• Background supporting capital projects

Compensation and benefits
