Production Assembly Specialist — ERP/Epicor Workflow

Join our build team in Saint Joseph, MI

Help us deliver precision-made Snap-on products. As a Production Assembly Specialist, you’ll combine hands-on assembly, quality checks, packaging, and ERP updates while championing safety and 5S. You’ll report to the Production Supervisor (or designee) and play a key role in team results and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Follow clear work instructions (written and oral) to assemble parts and subassemblies; verify correct fit and function.
  • Execute material handling and ERP transactions; complete required paperwork accurately (Epicor experience preferred).
  • Inspect components and finished goods; label, package, and palletize to spec.
  • Maintain stock of supplies: check levels, forecast needs, place/expedite orders, and confirm receipts.
  • Keep the workspace safe and clean—sweep floors, clean machines, remove stray parts from bowl enclosures; practice 5S.
  • Report shift priorities, progress, and outcomes; contribute to team goals and assist on related projects.

What you bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Assembly background; 1 year preferred.
  • Basic PC skills (data entry); strong reading and math capability.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus).
  • Proven ability to plan work, set priorities, track progress, and communicate results.
  • Commitment to quality and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently as needed.

Physical requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending/stooping and repetitive fine motor tasks.
  • Stand/walk for 8+ hours; walk long distances repeatedly.
  • Use step stools/small ladders when required.
