This role supports injection molding operations on a Day Shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM), in a non-union plant with regular overtime (about 5 hours/week).
What you will do
- Own preventive and corrective maintenance for injection presses and downstream/packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to quickly restore production.
- Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to guide repairs and improvements.
- Assist with equipment changeovers, new installations, and CI efforts that increase uptime and safety.
- Keep assets production-ready; suggest updates to PM routines and operating procedures.
- Manage spare parts organization and inventory utilizing FIFO methodology.
- Partner closely with production teams to minimize downtime and protect output.
- Use your own basic hand tools while following all safety and product-handling policies.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while supporting a team-first culture.
- Flex to overtime as production and coverage needs arise.
Where you’ll work
- Injection molding machinery (prior exposure preferred, not required).
- Automated packaging and material handling systems.
- PLC-based equipment: troubleshooting experience strongly preferred; programming not necessary.
- High-volume lines with multiple integrated machines in a safety-led environment.
What sets you up for success
- Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing/production.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting; mechanical strength to match.
- Comfort with schematics/prints; knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics; track record in industrial equipment repair.
- Ability to tear down, diagnose, and repair or replace components efficiently.
- Self-directed, reliable, and safety-minded; able to juggle competing priorities.
- PLC troubleshooting is a strong plus (programming not required).
- Injection molding experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Note: facilities-only maintenance backgrounds will not be considered a fit.
