Glass Fabrication Process Optimization Engineer

What you’ll take on

• Own an assigned manufacturing area for glass fabrication and the related process tooling.
• Prepare tooling and methods for each production run; ensure readiness for smooth changeovers.
• Troubleshoot line issues to cut defects, elevate throughput, and tighten dimensional performance.
• Verify parts meet customer specifications and ensure proper records are maintained.
• Issue and update drawings and process sheets as improvements are validated.
• Lead continuous improvement projects targeting capability gains and scrap reduction.
• Analyze weekly production results; isolate gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Train operators to safely and effectively run equipment and machinery.

Bring this experience

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering; or an equivalent technical degree; or comparable automotive glass processing experience.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• CAD fluency (SolidWorks preferred).
• PLC experience preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to manufacturing equipment or assembly lines.

Your improvement toolkit

• Working knowledge of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, and Pareto to drive sustained results.
• Advanced/intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
