PHP Software Developer (Pimcore) - Remote

Summary

We are looking for an ambitious PHP Software Engineer to join our Pimcore-based web project. This is a full-time, remote role working with our management & product team in London and collaborating with an outsourced team in Cluj, Romania.

The project is about supporting, maintaining and further developing a Symfony- and Pimcore-based airline website portal application that we have developed for one of our customers and will expand to a wider customer base over the next months.

The ideal candidate should enjoy the challenge of joining and working independently on a demanding project. They need to take pride in delivering exceptional solutions to improve the travel technology industry and be part of the team to influence the technical direction.


What the role involves:

  • Develop a website portal application based on the Pimcore DXP web content management system (v6.8)
  • Hands-on architecture, design and coding
  • Implement and enhance effective agile dev practices, e.g. Scrum, CI/CD
  • Align with the strategic direction of the company
  • Deliver exceptional solutions and best coding practices


Experience required

Technologies:

  • PHP (up to v8), Symfony (up to v5), MySQL / MariaDB
  • At least basic HTML5, CSS3 and JS
  • JSON/REST, GraphQL and SOAP/XML API design and integration
  • AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3), Redis, Nginx or Apache, PHP-FPM, Git


Nice to have:

  • Pimcore Platform (up to v6.8), React, ExtJS, New Relic, CloudWatch, CDN deployment (Cloudflare, Akamai etc.)
  • eCommerce platforms integration (for storefronts), website portal development and CRM/CDP integration experience
  • Minimum 4-5 years of commercial experience with the technologies listed above
  • Minimum English level: C1
  • Speaking either Polish or Romanian would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work flexibly across various time zones (minimum GMT to GMT+3)
  • Strong delivery focus – building solutions not just technology
