Inventory Accuracy Specialist
Location: Westminster, MD, 21157
A day in this role
Your morning begins with a review of stock statuses across the facility. You compare system quantities with what is on the shelves, spot-check high-movement items, and schedule cycle counts to keep records precise. Throughout the day, you verify incoming receipts and prepare outgoing shipments, confirming documentation matches what is physically moving through the dock. When a discrepancy appears, you investigate root causes, reconcile records, and prevent repeat issues with updated practices.
Collaboration is constant. You partner with purchasing and production to anticipate demand and time replenishments so the right parts are available when needed. You help refine inventory procedures, keep storage areas orderly and labeled, and ensure that data in the ERP matches the reality on the floor. Problem-solving is second nature, and your communication keeps everyone aligned.
