Toxic Tort Trial Attorney – Tampa, FL (Plaintiff Side)
A confidential, nationally active plaintiff-side firm is seeking an attorney to join its Tampa, Florida litigation team. The firm focuses exclusively on representing individuals with asbestos-related illnesses and other toxic exposure claims — work that is both legally demanding and genuinely meaningful for the clients involved.
This is the right opportunity for an attorney who wants to build a serious litigation career on the plaintiff side, working alongside experienced practitioners on cases that matter. The Role:
You will carry a structured caseload of asbestos and toxic tort matters, guiding each client from initial intake through the resolution of their case. That means developing a deep understanding of each client's exposure history and medical background, building the factual and legal foundation of their claim, and advocating for them through every phase of litigation — from pleadings and discovery through depositions, hearings, and, when necessary, trial.
Day to day, you will interview clients and witnesses, work with occupational and medical experts, draft and respond to written discovery, conduct and defend depositions, and appear in Florida state and federal courts. Client communication is central to this role — these clients are dealing with serious diagnoses, and your ability to be a steady, informed advocate matters as much as your technical skills.
Ideal Candidate:
- Florida Bar license in good standing (required; ability to waive in will be considered)
- At least 2 years of civil litigation experience; plaintiff-side, toxic tort, or asbestos backgrounds are a significant plus
- Strong legal research and writing abilities with attention to precision
- Deposition experience; trial exposure is a plus
- Genuine commitment to client advocacy and working with individuals navigating serious medical situations
Compensation:
- Salary range of $110,000–$175,000 depending on experience
