Your mission

Produce precise, repeatable parts by owning the setup, operation, and in-process quality of CNC turning centers.

Primary outcomes

  • Accurately set up and operate CNC lathes to machine metallic materials.
  • Translate blueprints, shop sketches, and engineering specifications into efficient machining plans.
  • Control quality via tool changes, offsets, and fine adjustments throughout the run.
  • Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and related metrology tools.
  • Hold demanding tolerances while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Extend consistency and throughput through disciplined tool life management.
  • Perform basic de-burr and minor in-process rework when required.
  • Continuously improve: suggest process tweaks, tooling enhancements, and setup refinements.
  • Keep an orderly, safe workstation and complete operator maintenance.
  • Contribute as needed with other manufacturing tasks.

Core capabilities

  • 3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience.
  • Self-directed and reliable on 2nd shift.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong accuracy, detail orientation, and shop math skills.
  • Required: working knowledge of G-code.
  • Awareness of safety and quality systems in a production environment.
  • Willingness to collaborate and help where needed on the floor.

Preferred experience

  • Aerospace machining background.
  • Hands-on work with Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel alloys.
  • Demonstrated tool life management capability.
  • Advanced print reading and interpretation of written instructions and specifications.
  • 3-axis machine setup experience.
