Your mission

Every weld tells a story. In this role, you ensure each one meets the mark. You will audit and verify workmanship in the Carshell welding and BG manufacturing areas, confirming conformance to drawings, specifications, and the correct configuration revision. You’ll conduct visual CWI, dimensional, and mechanical inspections; apply non-destructive testing techniques to validate quality; and, when needed, complete first article inspections with clear reports and diagnostics. You’ll also keep quality data organized and accessible within our MRP, noncompliance tracking, and Configuration Management systems.

Where and when you’ll contribute

Join us on-site in Lexington, NC, working Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–2:30am.

What sets you up for success

  • Holds a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) or PT Level II (penetrant testing) certification; committed to securing any missing credential promptly.
  • Fluent in electronic inspection tools—able to retrieve and enter data across multiple systems and databases.
  • Open to travel for training in Sacramento, CA—an initial trip of at least two weeks with additional visits as needed.

Physical capability

  • Comfort with frequent standing, walking, and manual tasks; regular reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and clear communication; occasional sitting.
  • Lift and move up to 10 lbs regularly and 40+ lbs on occasion.
  • Strong visual acuity across close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus shift.

Base hourly rate (Lexington, NC): $30.00–$44.65, plus a 10% shift differential. Final pay may vary depending on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
