  • 35 - 50 USD Hourly

Are you the go-to troubleshooter for automation?

If tackling tough faults, optimizing PMs, and keeping robotics, drives, and controls humming sounds like your kind of challenge, you’ll fit right in. This role asks you to combine sharp diagnostics with craftsmanship—and to do it safely and independently at customer sites.

Mission

Maximize equipment uptime and reliability by delivering expert break/fix service, preventive maintenance, and data-driven recommendations across diverse industrial environments.

How you’ll succeed

  • Independently execute advanced maintenance per industry standards, from initial observation to final performance verification.
  • Perform full-cycle troubleshooting: observe equipment in operation, pinpoint root causes, disassemble/repair, adjust instruments and controls, and validate with electrical and mechanical tests.
  • Restore and recondition machine tools when required.
  • Find and procure parts and supplies; weigh alternatives to enhance reliability and control costs.
  • Partner with client teams to enhance maintenance strategies, reliability practices, and PM procedures.
  • Step into machining and welding as needed using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and related tools.
  • Keep precise records: service reports, CMMS/management system updates, and clear write-ups of observations and performance data.
  • Resolve complex PLC/controls issues involving software, hardware, and configuration.
  • Use advanced maintenance technologies to collect performance data, monitor trends, and suggest improvements.
  • Support team growth—mentor less experienced techs and contribute expert input to project teams and training.
  • Model safety and professionalism: follow site codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety procedures; maintain strong situational awareness.
