Due to growth, Potter Electric Signal is looking for an Electro-Mechanical (Nitrogen System) Assembler. The Electro-Mechanical (Nitrogen System) Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and inspecting nitrogen generation systems and related electro-mechanical equipment. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, utilize hand and power tools, and ensure products are built to quality and safety standards.

Job requirements include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assemble electro-mechanical nitrogen systems, components, and subassemblies according to engineering drawing, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, tubing, and pneumatic connections.

  • Install and route wiring harnesses, sensors, switches, relays, and control components.

  • Conduct functional testing, purity, leak testing, and troubleshooting of assembled systems.

  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.

  • Identify and communicate assembly or quality issues to leadership and engineering teams.

  • Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.

  • Safely and effectively utilize hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, self-tapping wrenches and power tools (air drivers torqued between 3 - 55 in/lbs.)

  • Repetitive movement of parts (1-10 lbs./part) and team lift parts over 25 lbs.

  • Packing operations include packaging parts into cartons and taping boxes using auto tape dispensers and large crates.

  • Movement of pallets containing completed parts using a pallet jack. (pallets weigh between 42-900 lbs.)

  • Some operations require computer entries and must be accurate.

  • All operations require the ability to read and follow written instructions from an operation manual. Must be able to take constructive criticism/feedback.

  • Assembly workers are also required to rotate from job to job occasionally.

  • Maintain clean and organized workspace.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional team efforts.

  • Assist with other production or assembly duties as assigned.
