Distribution Center Asset Reliability Supervisor

Step into a day where uptime is your signature

You arrive at a high-volume distribution center and start with a quick stand-up: technicians align on priorities, safety checks are confirmed, and preventive tasks are queued in the CMMS. A conveyor alert flashes—your team isolates the issue, applies lockout/tagout, and you guide root-cause thinking so the fix lasts. By mid-morning, you’re coordinating with Operations to sequence maintenance around production windows, confirming parts availability with vendors, and reviewing the backlog to ensure the most critical assets stay online. In the afternoon, you coach a technician through a PLC-based fault on an automated system, update reliability metrics, and close the loop with Facilities leadership on upcoming projects. Throughout the day, you model safe, precise work that supports uninterrupted operations.

What you’ll lead

  • Provide hands-on leadership for a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring work is executed safely, accurately, and in line with company standards.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign corrective, preventive, and predictive tasks to keep conveyors, automation, electrical and mechanical systems, building systems, and infrastructure running reliably.
  • Troubleshoot complex, recurring failures and guide sustainable corrective actions through root-cause thinking.
  • Champion safety practices, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, housekeeping, regulatory compliance, and safe work methods.
  • Leverage the CMMS to manage work orders, track completion, document repair history, monitor backlog, and inform reliability reporting.
  • Develop technician capability through coaching, on-the-job training, skills assessment, and clear performance expectations.
  • Coordinate priorities with Operations, Safety, vendors, and Facilities leadership to align maintenance with production schedules and project timelines.
  • Support parts planning, inventory readiness, vendor engagement, budget awareness, and continuous improvement to lift uptime and service levels.
