What your day looks like
You start by scanning overnight emails from manufacturing customers and logging new purchase orders into Argon Industries’ system with precision. A production query comes in— you update the order, alert the right teams, and keep the customer informed. Midday, you review open orders, track status, and adjust priorities to protect deadlines. In the afternoon, you polish an Excel report on sales activity and expenses, then revise a Work Instruction so the Inside Sales playbook stays current. You wrap by sharing a short forecast update to support material planning and scheduling.
Role overview
As the liaison between business customers and Argon Industries, you ensure every order is captured accurately, monitored closely, and communicated clearly across departments.
Core responsibilities
- Serve as an open, proactive point of contact to build strong customer relationships and ensure timely parts delivery.
- Enter customer orders into the company database with speed and accuracy.
- Track orders from entry through fulfillment and provide timely updates.
- Maintain manufacturing software records and related databases.
- Prioritize competing requests to meet customer needs and order deadlines.
- Communicate order changes and key updates to internal teams quickly and accurately.
- Respond promptly to phone calls and email inquiries.
- Complete miscellaneous Excel-driven projects as assigned.
- Provide data and sales forecasts that inform material requirements and production scheduling.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on activities, sales volume, expenses, and related metrics.
- Revise and keep Inside Sales Work Instructions up to date.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High energy and excellent communication skills.
- Exposure to manufacturing and/or fabrication processes and equipment.
- Proficiency with MS Office; strong overall computer skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Reliability, adaptability, attention to detail, and strong organization.
- A strong sense of urgency in serving internal and external customers.
- 5 years' experience using an ERP system.
