EHS Program Lead — Mission-Critical/Data Center Construction

• Pay: $50–$90 per hour, depending on experience
• Per Diem: $65–$120 per day, subject to eligibility
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Minimum 6 months

From the first pre-task plan to the last sign-off, you will own the on-site safety program for a major Texas construction project. This contract role places you at the center of a large-scale build, where you will champion a proactive safety culture across data center and other mission-critical environments, with transferable practices for industrial, commercial, civil, energy, or healthcare projects.

What you will lead

• Deploy and sustain the project’s safety management program across all active work areas.
• Execute routine and targeted site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observational tours.
• Guide and monitor subcontractor performance to meet or exceed project safety requirements.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, worker orientations, trainings, and regular safety meetings.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain meticulous records: inspection reports, permits, training documentation, and compliance logs.
• Coordinate daily with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, client representatives, and regulatory authorities.
• Support critical controls and high-risk work processes, including JHAs/AHAs, lift plans, confined space, hot work, and LOTO.
• Act as a visible leader for a strong, accountable safety culture on-site.

What you bring

• Proven experience on construction projects as a Safety Manager, Safety Specialist, EHS Manager, HSE Advisor, or Site Safety Representative.
• Background in data center, mission-critical, industrial, commercial, civil, energy, healthcare, or large-scale construction (highly desirable).
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements, construction safety practices, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and site compliance.
• OSHA 30 strongly preferred.
• CHST, CSP, ASP, STSC, or similar credentials are a plus.
• Ability to perform audits, deliver training, manage documentation, and communicate clearly with field teams.
• Exceptional communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Texas for the contract duration.
