Industrial Safety Compliance Coordinator

Step into the role

Each morning, you’ll scan the latest safety metrics, lace up your shoes, and head onto the production floor. You’ll talk with operators about yesterday’s tasks, spot-check PPE, and note ergonomic tweaks that could prevent the next strain. After a quick sync with Production and Maintenance, you’ll move from coaching to compliance—updating OSHA documentation, planning training sessions, and preparing for a scheduled inspection. By day’s end, you’ve closed out corrective actions, supported an incident investigation, and moved our safety culture forward—one conversation, one improvement at a time.

What you’ll coordinate

• Roll out and uphold safety policies, procedures, and programs across the facility.
• Conduct recurring site inspections; flag hazards and drive practical risk-reduction measures.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near-misses; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support OSHA compliance for General Industry and maintain all required safety records and documentation.
• Plan and deliver new-hire safety orientation plus ongoing training for employees and supervisors.
• Monitor safe work practices and PPE usage, coaching teams toward consistent compliance.
• Complete ergonomic assessments and recommend workstation/process improvements.
• Partner with supervisors to identify hazards and implement timely corrective measures.
• Maintain inspection logs, training records, and corrective action tracking systems.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and safety committee initiatives.
• Track KPIs including incidents, near-misses, and action-item closure.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Facilities, HR, and Maintenance to cultivate a proactive safety mindset.
• Support workers’ compensation case reviews and return-to-work coordination when needed.
• Stay current on OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and evolving industry best practices.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

What you bring

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Occupational/Industrial Safety, HR, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in a safety role within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or industrial settings preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910).
• Hands-on experience with safety inspections and incident investigation.
• Clear communicator who can coach employees and leaders on safe practices.
• Excellent organization and documentation discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain after hire).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to spend extended time on the production floor and lift up to 25 lbs.
