Personal Injury Attorney

A confidential national defense law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Lancaster, Pennsylvania personal injury defense team. The attorney will handle defense-side civil litigation matters, including automobile collisions, premises liability, and general tort claims, representing corporate and individual clients in Pennsylvania state and federal courts.

  • Manage a caseload from intake through resolution or trial, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda; conduct legal research.
  • Review and analyze medical, employment, and other records to evaluate liability and damages.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials; coordinate with experts and witnesses.
  • Handle court appearances and oral arguments in Pennsylvania state and federal courts; negotiate settlements and advise clients on exposure and strategy.
  • Maintain accurate case files and calendaring using case management and e‑filing systems; supervise or mentor junior staff as appropriate.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active admission to the Pennsylvania bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of defense-side personal injury litigation experience; courtroom experience preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, analysis, oral advocacy, and client communication skills; ability to manage a high-volume caseload and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite in Lancaster and travel as required for hearings, depositions, and trials.
