Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to help oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure receiving, storage, picking, and shipping activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position will assist with supervising warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer orders and shipments are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products using forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Safely operate and perform basic inspections and minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Receive inbound shipments and ensure products are properly counted, inspected, and stored.
• Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product is loaded.
• Move products efficiently between storage, staging areas, trailers, containers, and other designated locations.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report any discrepancies or quality issues.
• Label, sort, wrap, pack, unpack, repack, and perform other value-added warehouse services as needed.
• Help establish daily work schedules and ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Assign work, provide direction, and coach warehouse associates to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Assist with customer service activities, including responding to inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues professionally.
• Verify inbound and outbound paperwork and ensure products are properly documented and accounted for.
• Communicate with drivers and transportation personnel to help ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete required warehouse records and reports accurately and on schedule.
• Track and analyze daily and weekly production and warehouse performance metrics.
• Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts while maintaining an accurate product locator system.
• Help maximize warehouse space and ensure proper product rotation and organization.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe warehouse environment.
• Open and close the facility when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable.
• Supervise and provide leadership to warehouse employees while promoting a productive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of warehouse, distribution, or related experience.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Comfortable working with warehouse computer systems and technology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional work habits.
• Ability to follow OSHA and workplace safety standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, twist, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
