Production Line Equipment Operator

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is seeking full-time equipment operators to support a busy manufacturing facility in Portage, IN. Earn $18.00–$19.00 per hour with weekly pay while keeping high-speed production and packaging lines running at peak performance on 2nd or 3rd shift.

A day in the role

You arrive for your shift and take over a production line, monitoring gauges and product flow while listening for subtle changes in machine sound. A quick changeover is needed—you perform the basic setup, dial in settings, and run test pieces. When a minor hiccup appears, you troubleshoot, reset, and document the event. Between runs, you clean, inspect, and complete your daily production paperwork. Throughout your shift, you collaborate with teammates and uphold quality, safety, and throughput standards.

What you’ll handle

• Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery
• Perform basic setup, changeovers, and first-step troubleshooting
• Complete daily paperwork and production documentation
• Conduct routine cleaning and machine inspections
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards

What helps you succeed

• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred (food production a plus)
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Comfort working independently and within a team

Compensation & schedule

• Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
• Shifts: 2nd & 3rd
• Pay frequency: Weekly
