Job Overview

Come join us in Hampton, Virginia, as an Electronics Testing Specialist. You will take charge of designing and implementing electronic instruments, electromechanical and electrohydraulic systems for operational and environmental testing. Collaborate with our engineering team by accurately interpreting test data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with Howmet's safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Perform data recording manually or digitally as necessary.
  • Install and calibrate sensing and recording devices with precision.
  • Utilize PLC interface for troubleshooting and repairing faults.
  • Direct installation of units in specialized test facilities.
  • Operate test apparatus to simulate various conditions effectively.
  • Convert test data into comprehensible formats for analysis.
  • Explore advanced computer equipment for testing functions.
  • Commit to attendance policies including occasional overtime.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Expert in comprehending safety instructions and operational manuals.
  • Proficient in tackling advanced mathematical problems and technical instructions.
  • Adept in troubleshooting and analyzing complex problems efficiently.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Provide valid documentation proving identity and U.S. employment eligibility.
  • Legal capability to access export-controlled items is mandatory.

Preferred Education: An Associate's degree in Electronics is beneficial.
