A Day in the Life
You arrive ready to keep our trucks and trailers in top shape. From diesel engine diagnostics to chasing down a trailer lighting fault, you move confidently between complex troubleshooting and routine PMs. You collaborate with a tight-knit crew, document your work with precision, and keep safety at the forefront—so our fleet stays on the road and on time.
What You’ll Work On
- Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel tractors and trailers to meet safety and performance standards.
- Diagnose and resolve diesel engine concerns—from drivability issues and fuel delivery to major overhauls.
- Perform scheduled maintenance: oil and filter changes, brake inspections, and component replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair trailer systems: brakes, suspensions, electrical/lighting, and hydraulics.
- Follow safety regulations and accurately capture maintenance records and repair notes.
- Partner with fellow technicians to minimize downtime and boost shop efficiency.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years’ experience as a diesel and/or trailer mechanic.
- Deep knowledge of trailer systems, braking, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- CDL and/or ASE-style certifications are a plus, not a requirement.
- Ability to lift, move, and position heavy components and tooling.
- Team-first mindset with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
