Packaging & Distribution Coordinator

What success looks like

  • Every inbound delivery is received, inspected, organized, and stored without delay.
  • Orders are picked accurately, packaged securely, and labeled with complete, correct documentation.
  • Carriers are scheduled efficiently; trucks are loaded and unloaded safely.
  • Records are current, counts are right, and the shipping floor stays clean and orderly.
  • Issues—damage, shortages, discrepancies—are spotted early and reported immediately.

Your core responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, sort, and store incoming goods.
  • Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Protect products with proper packaging; verify accuracy of contents.
  • Create labels, label boxes, and complete all shipping paperwork correctly.
  • Schedule shipping and coordinate timely pickups with carriers.
  • Load/unload shipments with an uncompromising commitment to safety.
  • Operate carts, pallet jacks, and related handling equipment as needed.
  • Operate forklifts/industrial trucks; current certification required.
  • Verify quantities, product information, and shipping details before dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate shipping logs and support inventory recordkeeping.
  • Keep shipping and warehouse areas clean and organized.
  • Follow company safety procedures and shipping requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and management to align shipping priorities.
  • Report any damaged items, shortages, or shipping discrepancies.
  • Carry out other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Background in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move packages; stand, walk, and bend through the workday.
  • Sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communicator; comfortable working independently and with a team.
  • Basic computer skills preferred (data entry, label creation).
  • Safety-minded with a habit of maintaining a clean work area.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in shipping/receiving and excellent communication skills.
  • Forklift/industrial truck certification.
