Senior System Administrator (HPC)

Put your Linux administration experience to work supporting the infrastructure behind High Performance Computing (HPC). From multi-vendor servers and clusters to specialized processing platforms, you’ll work with the operating systems and supporting services that make these environments usable and dependable.
Your work in the environment
- Maintain the systems people depend on. Configure and maintain operating systems, troubleshoot hardware and software, and support networking and file systems.
- Turn repeated tasks into automation. Use tools such as Bash, Salt, and Ansible to automate administration.
- Connect your Linux knowledge with HPC operations. Apply familiarity with RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu alongside HPC architecture, high-speed networking, TCP/IP, and enterprise support environments.
If you enjoy working through the connections between systems and the services around them, this role offers practical problems to engage that interest.
Experience and education
This role requires at least 10 years of relevant experience with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, or 15 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
