The Role at a Glance

TekPro is hiring on behalf of a leading precision manufacturer in the Downers Grove area. You’ll join as a full-time, direct-hire CNC Programmer supporting aerospace-grade parts and complex geometries.

What You’ll Own

• Programming: Build and fine-tune CNC programs for milling and turning (3–5+ axis).
• Interpretation: Read blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to generate accurate toolpaths.
• Process Engineering: Choose tooling, set speeds/feeds, and craft machining strategies.
• Collaboration: Work with machinists, engineers, and production to improve setups and processes.
• On-Machine Support: Troubleshoot programming/machining issues and drive quick fixes.
• Improvement: Reduce cycle times and champion continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in CNC programming within a machining environment.
• Strong command of milling, turning, and multi-axis operations.
• Comfort with GD&T and reading/using blueprints and CAD.
• Experience with CAM platforms: Mastercam, NX CAM, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM (or similar).
• Hands-on machining experience is a big plus.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Pay & Perks

• $90,000 – $115,000/year, based on experience.
