When your shift begins at 3:50 pm in our Columbus plant, you take the handoff from day operations and become the guardian of uptime. You move from line to line, ensuring equipment is set up correctly, running safely, and tuned for performance. A motor hum that sounds off? You trace it. A control loop drifting? You stabilize it. By midnight, you’ve kept production on track and left the equipment ready for the next crew.

What you’ll do

  • Own the care and repair of plant machinery and facility systems—mechanical, electrical, and electronic.
  • Install, set up, maintain, and repair equipment tied to plant operations, services, and facilities.
  • Diagnose issues, repair, and replace electrical components as required.
  • Support process control upgrades as new technology is introduced.
  • Stay current on state-of-the-art control systems and apply that knowledge on the floor.
  • Assist shift Operators by troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems when needed.

What you bring

  • Solid grasp of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on technical strength in electrical work and PLC programming.
  • Collaborative mindset with clear written and verbal communication.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years technician experience within the plastics industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving ability.

Compensation & rewards

  • Starting pay rate: $30.00–$36.50
  • $1.00 shift differential
  • Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases
  • Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity*

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 3:50 pm–12:00 am
