Preconstruction Bid Coordinator

Join a Commercial GC as a Preconstruction Bid Coordinator

Partner with an experienced commercial general contractor and keep the preconstruction engine running smoothly. In this role, you’ll centralize bid activity in BuildingConnected, keep subcontractors engaged, and assemble clear, complete proposal packages for client submission.

A day in the role

1. Open BuildingConnected to review active pursuits and update bid calendars.
2. Organize and prepare incoming subcontractor proposals for estimator review.
3. Reach out to trade partners to confirm participation and fill coverage gaps.
4. Compile, format, and package proposals for timely client delivery.
5. Maintain proposal directories and create reports tracking all bid activity.
6. Ensure all bid documents follow internal procedures and are easy to retrieve.
7. Keep the BuildingConnected database accurate, including subcontractor contact details.

What you’ll own

• Coordinating construction bid documents and pursuits in BuildingConnected
• Receiving, organizing, and preparing subcontractor bids for estimator review
• Building and sustaining subcontractor relationships to drive timely bid submissions
• Following up to secure adequate bid coverage and compiling client-ready proposals
• Maintaining proposal directories and reporting across all bids
• Upholding internal bidding procedures and document control standards
• Updating BuildingConnected records and subcontractor contact information

What you bring

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with estimating software required; BuildingConnected preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and deadline discipline
• Highly organized self-starter able to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
