Lead the flow of materials from railcar to finished goods
Step into an on-site leadership role where you choreograph the end-to-end movement of resins, packaging, and finished product. Your week spans from early Gemba walks to review 6S and food safety, to late-week reviews of on-time, in-full performance—always with an eye on safety, quality, and cost.
A day-in-the-life

- Own timely delivery of all production inputs, with hands-on responsibility for resin procurement, demand forecasting, and rail logistics support.
- Partner with Production, Asset Care, and cross-functional teams to build plant schedules that maximize schedule adherence and drive on-time, in-full outcomes.
- Drive inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counts and scheduled physical inventories.
- Run warehouse operations end-to-end: labor and dock scheduling, material handling, shipping, and receiving.
- Track material usage and collaborate with Operations to eliminate variances and improve yields.
- Serve as the liaison among Procurement, Operations, and IBP for all things MRP—ensuring signals translate into executable plans.
- Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with credible data and cross-functional alignment.
- Help shape policies, procedures, guidelines, and training that safeguard quality while controlling cost.
- Conduct distribution/network analyses, monitor inventory positions, and craft strategies that hit delivery lead times and target fill rates.
- Maintain accurate records and generate clear, actionable reports.
- Coordinate logistics activities with internal partners and external customers to remove friction from inbound and outbound flows.
- Model a safety-first mindset and 6S discipline; lead weekly plant-wide Gemba walks to verify 6S, safety, and food safety compliance.
