Digital Dental Laboratory Technician – CAD/CAM Designer

An innovative, high-production digital dental laboratory is actively seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Specialist to join our expanding restorative design department. Primary Responsibilities

  • Digital Fabrication: Lead the digital design process for a diverse range of fixed prosthetic cases utilizing advanced dental CAD software.

  • Crown & Bridge: Design high-quality single-unit to complex multi-unit bridge restorations with strict attention to margin accuracy and occlusion.

  • Implant Solutions: Craft custom implant abutments, as well as both screw-retained and cement-retained digital prosthetics.

  • Advanced Full-Arch Workflows: Execute intricate full-arch rehabilitation cases, including hybrid and monolithic zirconia frameworks.

  • Data Synthesis & Troubleshooting: Analyze and integrate intraoral scans, digital impressions, and specialized verification data to optimize implant placement accuracy.

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with technical supervisors and production teams to streamline workflows and maintain rigorous quality control standards.

Core Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: 3+ years of hands-on digital design experience within a commercial dental laboratory.

  • Software Competency: Expert-level command of major open-architecture dental design platforms (such as 3Shape and exocad).

  • Anatomical Mastery: Deep understanding of dental anatomy, function, morphology, and occlusal principles.

  • Complex Case Management: Solid portfolio or experience managing complex multi-unit and full-arch digital restorations.

  • Technical Agility: Ability to interpret digital prescriptions accurately, identify potential scan errors, and self-correct workflows independently.

Preferred Assets

  • Experience working across a variety of major implant manufacturer platforms.

  • Technical knowledge of milling strategies and 3D printing material properties (Zirconia, PMMA, Titanium).

  • Familiarity with digital diagnostic waxing or guided surgery workflows.
