Step Into the Role

As your 2nd shift begins in Albion, MI, you gear up with PPE, review the batch ticket, and stage raw materials. You’ll weigh ingredients to exact recipe tolerances, charge the blender, dial in the extruder, and watch the run come to life. Temperatures, pressures, and rates are monitored and adjusted for safety and efficiency. You’ll pull lab samples for quality checks, document every step in the production system, and keep your area clean and organized. If something isn’t right, you’ll troubleshoot and loop in your supervisor when it’s time to escalate. That’s a typical evening shaping polymer colorants and specialty additives that show up in cars, packaging, appliances, and everyday consumer products.

Mural is partnering with a global specialty chemical and polymer manufacturer operating production facilities across Michigan, Massachusetts, and Ohio. Their plants run continuously, and they’re seeking experienced operators who understand blending and extrusion, follow recipe-based procedures, and keep rock-solid documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and run blending and extrusion equipment in line with operating and safety procedures
• Weigh materials to recipe specifications; keep an eye on the process for safe, efficient output
• Diagnose routine process/equipment issues and escalate to your supervisor as needed
• Inspect materials for conformance; pull and deliver lab samples when required
• Complete production logs, system transactions, and all required documentation
• Perform machine cleaning and uphold housekeeping standards throughout the shift
• Follow all safety, ISO, and EHS rules; wear required PPE at all times

What You Bring

• 1+ year in blending, mixing, extrusion, or plastics/chemical manufacturing
• Hands-on ability to set up and operate production machinery; basic troubleshooting skills
• Comfort with basic computer use for production documentation
• Ability to regularly lift 55 lbs and work safely in a chemical/industrial environment
• Availability for 2nd shift and reliable transportation to Albion, MI
• High school diploma or GED

Pay and Schedule

Competitive hourly rate. Temp-to-perm. 2nd shift. Albion, Michigan.
