Reefer Mechanic Needed
A leading transport refrigeration company in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Reefer Mechanic to join their growing team!
Schedule: Monday–Friday (hours vary by shop needs; on-call availability required)
Pay: $25-35/hr +
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair reefer unit cooling, electrical, and refrigeration systems
- Perform leak detection, system charging, and routine preventive maintenance
- Repair or replace compressors, refrigerant lines, condensers, evaporators, and engine seals
- Read fault codes, troubleshoot electrical issues, and follow manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate parts usage, work independently, and follow all safety standards
Requirements:
- 3 years of transport refrigeration or related technician experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to work on-call for after-hours service needs
- Must provide own tools
- Able to lift 60 lbs and perform frequent bending, climbing, standing, and moving
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
