Step Into the Night Shift That Keeps Our Plant Moving
As the facility settles into third shift, you become the force that keeps production on track. In a dusty, non–temperature-controlled manufacturing environment—hot in summer and cold in winter—you’ll own the health of our mechanical assets and ensure safe, steady uptime.
You’ll be the go-to mechanical expert supporting a crew of roughly 12 teammates (8–10 operators and one Electrician), especially during the second half of the shift when plant leadership is offsite.
What a Night Looks Like
- Walk the line, listen for changes, and preempt issues before they become downtime.
- Triage and resolve failures across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Keep critical equipment online, including belt and screw conveyors, air compressors, pumps, burners, and blowers.
- Fabricate solutions on the fly—welding, basic machining, and light fit-up to get production running safely.
- Tackle facility repairs, new installs, and small improvements that make tomorrow smoother than today.
- Document work clearly in the CMMS and execute preventive maintenance that extends asset life.
- Make sound, independent decisions when leadership isn’t present.
Must-Have Background
- 2–3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (5+ preferred).
- Hands-on strength with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
- Proven success working in dusty, non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Self-sufficient and proactive—comfortable working with minimal supervision on off-shifts.
- Direct experience with conveyors, compressors, burners, pumps, and blowers.
- Ability to complete a 1–3 month training period on day shift.
Nice to Have
- Electrical exposure: PLC troubleshooting; VFDs, motors, drives, gearboxes; basic wiring; familiarity with NEC codes.
- Electro-mechanical skill set bridging mechanical and basic electrical tasks.
- CMMS experience (work orders and spare parts organization).
- Robust preventive maintenance mindset.
Schedule & Overtime
Role is on 3rd shift. Expect voluntary—and at times, occasional mandatory—weekend overtime on a rotating schedule.
