L&W Recruiting, on behalf of a well‑established Mid‑Atlantic law firm, seeks an experienced insurance defense attorney to join its Litigation Defense and Business Law practice in Philadelphia, PA. The role is appropriate for an attorney who can independently manage a docket and contribute to a collaborative practice with a clear path to partnership.

• Key responsibilities: Manage insurance defense matters from intake through resolution; draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery; conduct and defend depositions; appear at hearings, mediations, and trials; develop litigation strategy; maintain organized case files and calendars; communicate with clients, insurers, co‑counsel, and courts; mentor junior attorneys.
• Required qualifications: 2–6+ years of insurance defense or related civil litigation experience; active Pennsylvania law license; demonstrated motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experience; strong written and oral communication, organization, and client‑management skills.
• Preferred qualifications: Experience with coverage issues or complex defense matters; proven settlement negotiation and trial preparation skills; familiarity with e‑filing and case/document management systems; interest in professional development and partnership track.
