Aerospace Coatings and Finishing Technician

You clock in at our Avon, Ohio facility and gear up. The spray gun is calibrated, your booth is staged, and a traveler packet with blueprints is waiting. You prep parts for the aerospace and aviation industry, mask with precision, confirm specs, and apply coatings safely and consistently. By 10:30pm, the final inspection is complete, the booth is spotless, and tomorrow’s work is staged.

Role Snapshot

We’re hiring an Industrial Painter to support our aerospace finishing operations on second shift. You’ll apply coatings with speed, accuracy, and a safety-first mindset.

Shift & Schedule

  • 2nd shift
  • 5-day work week
  • 8-hour shifts
  • 2:00pm – 10:30pm

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and paint/fabricate parts rapidly, precisely, and safely for aerospace applications.
  • Load and unload parts from paint booths, drying racks, and related equipment.
  • Clean and surface-prep components before and after paint.
  • Mask per blueprints, travelers, and other instructions.
  • Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for additional processing, inspection, or wrapping.
  • Examine finished work to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Start machines or equipment to initiate paint or related processes.
  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently operate paint-process equipment and instruments, or assist other operators.
  • Maintain a clean work area and clean all paint-process equipment.
  • Follow procedures for proper storage and handling of materials.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in industrial or automotive painting.
  • Competence in inspecting your own work.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Integrity and a strong safety mindset.
