What you will do

  • Perform minor top-surface repairs on casegoods and tables.
  • Handle solid-color paper/side refinishes.
  • Rebuild small corners and complete advanced replacement-part repairs.
  • Set up and use the spray booth safely and effectively.
  • Complete upholstery fixes, including mechanism replacements.
  • Inspect damaged items and determine if restoration to like-new condition is feasible.
  • Coach warehouse personnel on minor touchup techniques during inspections.
  • Document recurring damage trends; escalate repeated issues to the Guest Response Team and DC Manager.
  • Report promptly when repairs cannot be completed and explain the situation.
  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
  • Demonstrate our Core and Growth Values throughout your work.
  • Work assignment: Retail Distribution Center Product Technician.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.

What you bring

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of hands-on furniture repair experience (upholstery, leather, wood refinishing)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time well
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and aptitude for in-house systems
  • Valid Driver’s License

Physical requirements

  • Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and adjustable focus for reports and computer use
  • Hearing and speaking: able to hear, understand, and be understood
  • Seated work for extended periods; repetitive hand tasks (keyboarding, handwriting, office/POS and handheld equipment)
  • Standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching at/above shoulder level
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. alone; heavier with assistance
  • Primarily warehouse environment; occasional work at new retail locations under construction
  • Exposure to oil, latex, spray paint, household chemicals, biological odors, household dusts; moderate office noise
  • Consistent adherence to safe work practices and rules
  • Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise
