CNC Programmer

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $30 – $35 per hour

• Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts

  • Monday through Thursday

  • Friday overtime available

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support precision machining operations in a production-focused machine shop. This role is ideal for a hands-on programmer with strong shop floor experience who can develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs while working closely with machinists and production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and/or lathes

• Program parts using Mastercam

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T

• Select tooling, cutting strategies, feeds, and speeds

• Support machine setups and first article approvals

• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs as needed

• Collaborate with operators and quality teams to ensure part accuracy

• Maintain organized program documentation and revisions

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cycle time and quality

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience Requirements

• Machine shop experience: 3+ years preferred

• Machine programming experience: 3+ years preferred

• CNC programming experience: 3+ years preferred

• Mastercam programming experience: 3+ years preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes

• Familiarity with common CNC controls such as Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, or similar

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
