Pipe Fabrication Machine Operator

A day in this role

Work Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday

You start your morning walk-through at 6:00 am, checking machines and staging material for the day. From there, you move into hands-on production: operating rotary chop saws, band saws, threaders, and grooving machines (Victaulic, Pace, Mercury) to cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe to spec. As orders come in, you also prepare threaded rod assemblies, cutting and grinding as needed and installing hanger devices. Throughout the day, you safely move, stage, and load pipe using carts, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment, then package finished products with pneumatic banders and staple guns for on-time shipment. You keep your area clean and organized, follow all safety standards and training, and coordinate closely with fabrication leadership to keep operations running smoothly. When priorities shift, you jump in wherever needed to support branch and customer success. At 2:30 pm, you wrap up, having built momentum toward a clear path to grow into a Fabricator and/or Welder role.
